E38 1994–2001
tail-production M57 diesel. E65/E66 (2001–2008): N52 six-cylinder, N62 V8, and the ultra-low-volume N73 V12 flagship. F01/F02 (2008–2015): introduced the N63 twin-turbo V8 as the standard flagship petrol alongside the N74 V12 for the range-topping 760i. G11/G12 (2015–2022): continued both N63 and N74 alongside BMW's B-series family. G70 (2022–Present): replaced the V12 flagship entirely with the M760e plug-in hybrid.
