R170 2000–2004 tail

M111/M112 petrols. R171 (2004–2011): introduced M271 supercharged fours and M272 V6, with the M113-powered SLK55 AMG as flagship. R172 (2011–2020): continued M271/M276 petrols and OM651 diesel, with the model renamed from SLK to SLC at the 2016 facelift — the same chassis and engine range continuing under the new name.
