Used or reconditioned?
For the A1 and A3 applications (Groups 1 and 2), used units are widely available given strong donor parc, offering good value. For the older A4 B7 applications (Group 3), used supply is thinner — reconditioned units are more commonly selected. The EA111 1.4 TSI / TFSI engine is one of the VAG group's most widely-used petrol units, fitted across Audi A1, A2, A3, and A4. Replacement demand is driven by timing chain stretch and tensioner wear — a known issue on pre-2015 EA111 units. Every unit we supply has the timing chain and tensioner inspected and replaced as standard before dispatch.
